Re: R6 Reveal Live on July 10th
How about the weight in specs R6 weighs almost 1000 pounds more than R5 and 200 lbs more than R7. Hmm must be a typo.

Re: Top Speed R5 with 380 and 430 HP
I have a 2019 R7 with vp 380. Same thing, blinking red dash because of over tacking. At 6000 with F5s I was running 48mph. When I made the switch to F6 prop set my rpms dropped to 5950. speed increase was to 52. Dealer made the change no charge. Dealer was concerned about hole shot until we went out ...

Re: Garmin Glass Cockpit Accessories.
I did the trip computer I order to get a better feel on gas gauge. On my R5 I was always a tad nervous because gauge went from full to empty in a crazy way. I will confess I was also very used to the 100 gal tank in my center console. Ha. On the new R7 I find the trip computer to be within about 4 ...

Re: Attention Gear Heads. Hydrolock
I'm not saying anything bad about my dealer. Infact I'm going to buy lunch for the guys in the shop. Brought boat in on Friday fixed and back in the water on Tuesday. Thats amazing with everything that's happening for them getting everybody ready for Memorial Day weekend. Wow. It was just upsetting ...

Re: Attention Gear Heads. Hydrolock
So No Captains Call Exhaust. Batteries are together on port side, smoke came from starboard rear side of motor. Volvo/cobalt mechanic says "hyydro locked" I say how did you know? He says when 2 rear spark plugs were removed, water flowed out of holes. So they "the shop" wanted to know about water ...

Attention Gear Heads. Hydrolock
Brand new 2019 R7 with VP 380. I went to start engine and got a loud “Clank” tried a couple of more times, then a heavy electrical smell and smoke coming from starboard rear side of motor. Hmm? I figure starter issue. Dealer says engine was “hydro locked” Conversation immediately goes to operator ...

Re: Lake George Ny
We took delivery on April 15, three days after Ice Out. So its been sitting in the Lake since then. Yesterday was the day I finally got enough courage to bring it home and see if it fits. Same trailer I had the R5 on. I was worried about ceiling height. Surprising same height as R5 just litter ...

Re: 2018 R7 380VP 50MPH Red line??
SO I guess everyones boating life experiences and information gathering processes are different. I was always taught that a motor had a recommended operating range. The goal in selecting a propellor was to find one that allowed you to be in the upper portion of that range and not go over. So my new ...
