I find it quieter at lower speeds, and at cruising speed you can still talk easily. It’s probably quieter across the range but I haven’t been on one with an IO in years.

Yeah I'm eventually going to do an R8 with either twin 250's or 300's. The 300's will hit 65mph :-D I think the Verado's will do a bit more than the Yamaha's. There are a few YouTube videos showing the Verado's, I believe they quoted 67mph top end with the 300's.
