Did the update help fix this? Our R8 has this problem periodically.. restarting the boat makes it go away but it does seem to be software based.

I wish I had more help to provide. I run with the factory settings of steep or mellow and have not played with much else.

How are you seeing the trim tab location? On my boat I have the buttons but have never seen indicators.

Old post but throught I would share. When we visited the factory when they were building our R8. They specifically brought up the kevlar strip that is added to the hull. What was funny is they said "it doesn't really add strength but people like it". Take that for what it is worth

If you go through the Garmin screens, look for settings, and find GPS Antenna. My boat had two of them listed there.

What kind of issues have you had?

I have spent a bunch of time customizing mine but I have never had the surf settings disappear.

My screens now have a shortcut in the corner to bring up the Surf screens.

We have an R8S, not sure if these settings are best but typically just select the largest wave option in Garmin and set at 11.3. Seems to make everyone happy

We are ordering a new R8 Surf in the next few days. We had an R8 Surf last year that had the Volvo with 380hp; was great. As we are ordering this new boat and it appears that there is an option for a 430 hp Monsoon engine.

I’ve been tweaking the surf setting on my R8S all summer and found the best wave is full ballasts, 11.3 mph, and +3 trim angle. You do need to turn off the Trim Assist. Effective for both right and left sides.

Thanks, that is how I could get to the Nautique center bolt.

They said there were two options:
"· Have the pedestal returned for rework to disassemble and add a weld

· Send a replacement if we have one of the correct height in stock"

My dealership did an alignment and got the wheel straight, unfortunately they didn't show or tell me the process. It was straight for a bit, now it appears to have drifted.
