I used Aqua Marine and am really happy with the outcome about $1600 with logo on my 262. I would've been majorly concerned with getting all the lines to line up correctly with sheet material.

You stole that for that price. Was that this year?

No kidding, great price and looks amazing! I went ahead and ordered 6 rolls. Used the 10% first order and ended up a little
Over 1K. Cut them tonight. Honestly pretty happy with how them came out. Used my carpet as a template and cut a little larger than needed (based on BBP’s opinion that the carpet has shrunk). The tricky part was getting everything lined up and uniform. It took some patience and left me with more waste than I’d like, but I think it’s going to look nice. That said, I may get it to the boat and think WTF did I do …..plan to sand the corners tomorrow to clean it up. Hopefully installing Sunday. Will post pics of the final…….
Need an opinion from you all. The swim deck is to wide for one sheet, so I have two options. 1.) make it a 2 piece and go vertical to match the rest of the boat. Both pieces will come from the same sheet, so no real issue of it not matching up. 2.) turn the piece sideways and have it go horizontal. Doing this would allow for one solid sheet. Leaning towards option 1 even though it be more work I think it will look better. Buddy helping thinks given the swim deck sits so much lower it won’t matter if the lines are going the other direction because it won’t be noticeable. I think he’s just trying to get out of extra work!

Take lots of pictures, I’m about to order some sheet material to do this on my 220. Bought a bunch of Mylar to make my own stencils and I’m thinking about trying to bevel the edges with my router.

Tomace, I think I’d stated earlier that one of my biggest concerns was the edges. After making the cuts, I found out the material is super easy to work with. As long as you can maneuver yourself around (and keep the razor from lifting) the cuts come out very clean. Corners aren’t hard either. Sandpaper will clean up minor imperfections. Cutting tip- change your blade often. That will keep your cuts clean.
I’ll know this weekend, but if you have the existing carpet that is a huge time saver(vs Mylar). If I’m off a little it can be easily trimmed. The carpet is all one piece from front to ski locker, so that has to be measured out. The only other area that requires measurement is the gas tank access under the back piece. My boat is an 08 (as is the carpet) and the gas tank access was a perfect impression on the backside. Lucked out there.

It does get hot in full sun but nothing near what the old carpet got. Very happy with it for sure. Yes new sub and speakers with head unit in the very near future.

Jmad78 if you look at both my swim decks you'll see they are in 3 pieces. In my opinion I'd rather have the lines all run the same way. Can't wait to see your finished product.

Yes, decided to go that route. Couldn’t get comfortable with the lines not all going in the same direction. Thought it would cheapen all the work that’s gone into it!
Cut it out today. Sea Dek actually had the template for the swim deck. I sent it to one of the local graphics shop and had it printed out to size. It was definitely the most difficult because I know it will be eye level with those in the water and get looked at the most. Took a ton of time and went really slow. Happy with how it turned out. Will send pics
out Sunday after the install!!

Whippled, that looks amazing! Still have that desire to DIY just to see how good I can get it. Almost more so a driver over the cost/wait time. Edges are my biggest concern. I’ve seen some nice edges done with 60 grit, but it won’t have that factory edging… Definitely torn!

I have a larger CNC router in the garage doing nothing but taking up space.. I wonder how well it might handle doing this kind of job. Any good leads on the material? I might have to give it a shot..
