Wake Arch/Tower Fold?

I've been lucky enough to take ownership of a spotless 2019 220s 25hrs, mint. Perfect so far. But, we keep her in a covered lift in the summer, so ideally when we're gone for a week or so I'd take the time to bring fold the arch/tower and get the boat up higher up and out of the conditions.

I assumed Cobalt would have some sort of locking mechanism to keep the arch down and lowered on the non-electric variation. Almost seems like in some Bimini FAQ videos it stays down w/o force once lowered. Am I missing something? How to you guys that have an arch handle it? If I were to tie it off, I'd have not way to get the cover on.. Anyone come up with a solution or am I missing something?

P.S. Pardon the embarrassing lean in the lift. It has since be resized to fit.

So we were talking about this the other day…. Here is a link to the thread. On my 2020 R7 surf you have to go all the way down and then it locks into place, but it has to go so low that I don’t know that you could do it with the cover on? Here is the thread if you want to give it a read on what was said.

Yes sir! As dsthomas shared in the previous discussion you can use two ratchet straps, one on each side to hold the tower as low as possible with the top on. You just use the side mooring cleats to hook to. I buy the rubber coated ratchet straps.
In regards to the tower lock, it has one, but the tower will not lower enough to engage it with the top on.

I have a similar tower on my R7, it has a latch in it when the tower is lowered, mine is on the starboard side if you look where the hydraulic is you should see it.

Thanks guys. I’ll give it a look this weekend and see if there is indeed a latch I’m missing in one side or the other. If not, It’ll have to be the straps.
