Before we know it we will be walking and driving cars on the water up here.DeadOn04 wrote: Sat Oct 23, 2021 2:27 pmSouth Floridians would basically say I live in Canada since we are on the panhandle. Tampa is the mason dixon line of forever summer in my opinion.

No you have just adapted to your current climate. After spending a few days at TRL for the regatta I only jumped in our lake 1 time after cause it was too cold.DeadOn04 wrote: Sun Oct 24, 2021 9:59 amYou are correct, we are weak. Just a few years ago I lived for the winter to go snowmobiling and even colder temps for all out river runs.

Re: October 2021 Pics...
2021 Season has come to a close. Considering today's final ride was 47 degrees with me needing a winter hat, I guess it's time.
All and all some great memories made, but we had rough weather in New Hampshire this summer. July was the wettest in recorded history. Probably lost ten days to rainy weather this year. Still was amazing though, especially with our new Cabana setup this year.
As much as I admire all of your mechanical skills and DYI mentality, it's pretty nice to just pull the carpets out and let the marina haul, winterize, shrinkwrap and store the boat for us. Especially having a two year old and six year old vying for constant attention from mommy and daddy.
About a couple of the pictures. You'll notice a castle on an island in one of the pictures. That was built in 1911 and I got to meet their neighbors this summer. Lake Winnipesaukee used to be surrounded by railroads bringing vacationers up from Boston. Now almost all gone except for a short section used for tourist rides. Anyways, the lake apparently was much lower in 1911 prior to new dams being built. The people who built that castle actually built a rail to the island to move the stone over. Remnants of that rail still exist in the basement of the castle. Pretty cool.
Also pictured is the new swimming pool at the marina, which should be done for next season. If you look closely, it's shaped like a boat prop! This isn't really a swimming pool. More like a hang out, float and drink cocktails pool. Eventually will have a restaurant and tiki bar. We are pumped for this new amenity. Will be great for the days when the lake is a zoo or heavy winds churn the lake up too much to make boating not so much fun. We can still head to the lake, grill out at our Cabana and let the kids go splash around.
Been awesome seeing all of the pictures from other members throughout the season. Jealous of those who can participate in the November picture threads and beyond. Hope everyone has an awesome off season.

Actual term is sub tropics. I think it crosses roughly the bottom third of Florida.

Honestly that's the hardest and best helmet to get. It's the Oxygen! It's only a $650 helmet
