Overkill can easily be overpaid. It's a boat trailer.

I have an R6 on the way, and dealer options were Boatmate or Phoenix. I went with a Boatmate for $7400 instead of a Phoenix because the Phoenix was $1500 more.
I know where you're coming from. At the time I could buy 2 car trailers that are soo much more useful for the price of our single use boat trailer. They got you - what else are you going to do?

I recently had a boatmate trailer and I really liked it. GVWR of 10K the trailer was 2000K left me 8000K of payload. I'm ordering another one for my R8S. Quality and everything was really good and it tracked well. I only had it for two seasons so not long enough to really know but for the time I had it I was pleased. I can't remember exactly but I believe I paid around 12K for the trailer. More expensive than most but I agree with the thought that your towing a 200K plus boat on it, and we tow a lot from kc to table rock so it's just nice knowing I have a good home for my baby :0)

Overkill is cheap insurance to me. It’s not a place where I would be looking for a deal. Saving 2K to transport a 150K boat?
I feel confident towing my boat to any place in the USA without fail.

My trailer was somewhere around $9,200 with options back in 2017.

Ladder and foot plates on top of frame.
Extended frame and extended tongue.
EOH brakes with Kodiak brakes and SS rotors.
5-16” wheels E rated tires.
Extra lights.
5K axles which I think were stock.
4 bunks and center bunk
$200 extra for blue paint.
2017 Cobalt R7
"Cobalt" Blue
6.2L VP 380 or 430
