Shipping a Boat

Post by john_perkins10 »

Hi All,

I am shipping a boat from Seattle to Tahoe this spring and I wanted to see if anyone has experience transporting a boat with Coast to Coast Transportation or Interstate Haulers. Please let me know your experiences good or bad. If you have another transportation company you would recommend please let me know.

Hi there,
So funny, I just bought a 2012 273 last August, it was from Seattle, I live in South Lake Tahoe. I ended up traveling up to Idaho to pick it up myself. I was going to use interstate haulers. They seem a good company when I was trying to schedule with them. It really depends on the driver that will be towing your boat home to Tahoe. They just hook up, drive, and drop off. They do stop every couple hours and check the load but its really up to you to make sure that the trailer is road worthy to make that trip (bearing serviced? brakes good? trailer good to go?no cracks or rusting?) IH are responsible for safely getting your boat to you but its your responsibility to make sure its able to make the journey. hope that helps out. Whereabouts are you located in Tahoe? Congrates on your new Cobalt! I'm on lists right now for moorings for the Summer. Fingers Crossed
