Help finding a boating destination/summer vacation.

Have you thought of Charlevoix MI or Burt/Mullet lake MI? Both are supposed to be great fun

I have not. Before we went to the Ozark's my wife looked at a town on the south end of Lake Michigan thought. We can’t remember the name of the town right now though.

Too many to list. Great thing about lake charlevoix is the town is special plus you have access to the big lake. Check out a couple videos

South End?-South Haven is popular as are most of the port city's , St Joseph, Saugutuck, Muskegon etc.
I would caution dedicating a trip to the big lake as you mentioned water skiing, Lake can get rough fast

Im a big fan of the Indian River area, which includes Burt and Mullet, been there many times.

I HIGHLY recommend TRL near Branson MO. Tons of places to stay and even more to eat and drink! We go there 3 times a summer and trailer our boat as well. I like to refer to it as "A little slice of Heaven "

So glad I have a home with a dock in my backyard of a place where many people like to use as a boating destination/summer vacation...Lake Tahoe.

Thank you for all of the suggestions! Has anyone been to Lake Okaboji in northern Iowa? I am wondering what that area is like.
I would like to make another trip lake of the Ozarks or try Table Rock lake but with the way gas prices are getting that going to be an expensive drive towing a boat.

Its OK. There are a few bars/restaurants to dock at. You can also dock at the the amusement park "Arnolds Park", it still has a rustic vib to it and has lots of shopping. Being the shape of the lake there's only one main spot to anchor up - I would suggest staying away during any major holidays. Also its a pain to try and drive around there with all the car traffic those weekends.

I will have to say that was 4th of July 2020, so it was the biggest so far... If your there Monday - Friday morning during the week its pretty easy to get good docking at the restaurants and its much better lake experience.

Hate to say it but even with all that going on in the photo its still the cleanest lake I have ever been in. I also believe its part of the aquifer.
