Added Side Skirt to Cover on R4

Post by BRDad »

In the summer my new R4 will be up on a lift getting pretty direct sun. I had a someone make a side skirt that zips on to the OEM mooring cover. This ways the sides of the boat will not get hammered with the sun.

I think it turned out pretty good.

Looks nice. How easy will it be to put on while on the lift?

Why not a canopy for your lift?

Totally fair question on the canopy cover. although I know it would protect the boat… I like being able to sit on the dock or in the boat and have an unobstructed view :)

Thanks. I'm going to go see it in person tomorrow and I'll get some better pictures.

I need to spend some timing figuring out how I....

1) Install this when and if I'm alone.

2) Best process to install. As of now I'm thinking I have to first put on the main cover. Then zip in the skirt and as I zip put the skit up and over the top of the boat. Then when does, lift the boat and then pull the skirt down.

I'm sure I'll figure something out.
