Saving Custom Surf profiles

Post by Rock911 »

Just purchased a 2022 R8 Surf and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to save individual surf profiles-I’m starting to think you can’t on the 2022?? A very nice to have but not a deal breaker. Can anyone let me know if this can be done. I have the version with the zero off in the screen below the garmins so it’s not integrated in the 2022s.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I think this might be a feature only available on the 2023’s because I believe the zero off feature is now built in to the surf screens.
2021 R6 Surf, VP 380, Pacific Blue and Ebony.
(former) 2019 R5, Volvo 350, ebony hull w/pacific blue stripe.

I have a 2022 and we can save them... when your in surf mode there should be a surf profile name in the upper right hand corner of the right garmin. You should be able to touch and hold on that name and another menu comes up that asks if you want to edit and so on... if you have a seperate screen fro your zero off then you probably have the older system and can't do it. Some 2022's have the seperate screen (or the older systems) and some have it integrated into the garmins (the newere systems).

I think they just shipped boats with what was available. Just the times we are living in, but very frusterating.
