222 Flag Location

Post by CBO »

Does anyone know where the factory put the flag option on a 2007 model 222?

Here ya go. Its not the highest resolution picture ever, but it should help with the flag location.

On a side note, that seems like a crazy price. I wouldn’t dream of listing my boat for this high of a price and I have a big block 496.

Thanks for the pictures, after looking at the 2007 brochure I did see another stainless part that is next to the water fill port and the anchor light port. So I am guessing that is where it's going to go. I plan on using the Sea Lux products, does anyone have any opinions on the Sea Lux brand or a suggestion for a brand to use?

Yes, I agree that is an outlandish price. When buying my 2007 222 last month the average book was around 36 and I picked mine up for 17K.

I have the SeaLux flag pole, but have not installed it yet. It appears very well made and looks great. I think iit would look factory on any Cobalt boat.

I think I mistook the water fill deck fitting for the flagpole mount in my picture above. Here is a zoomed in view from the 2007 brochure that you mentioned.

Just remember to put it opposite side of your walkthrough transom so someone doesn't mistake it for a grab handle!

I am planning to buy the Tigtec Marine flagpole over the winter. Going to take me a few months to get up the courage to drill the holes in my boat!

I suggest that you don't use alcohol for courage.
