Hello All,
It has been a minute since I contributed to the boat think on here, and this is more opinion than anything, but I was looking for opinions on this subject so maybe I can leave some tracks for someone else.
If you are considering a boat lift, and have the dock space, leased or owned, don't hesitate to do it. We ordered our CS22 "Ghost" specifically to trailer, and after half a season the other one in the house was very verbally over backing the trailer down ramps. Beyond that, we ended up mainly going to one local lake, and only occasionally to others in the area. "We" (haha) came to the conclusion of leasing a slip on the lake that allowed us to install a lift we own and it has been the best thing ever. After working the lake house market the last three years, anyone on this forum knows, the market was too crazy for this kid.
The slip and lift are a great solution while the market cools off. If we buy we just take the lift with us. These lifts are great. I grew up in Maine where we mored boats in lakes during the three month season. The lift changed everything. We stored her on the lift and not on the trailer last winter, no muss, no fuss. Also, there are some sunny days I can skip work and the lift makes it easy for one to drop in the water and go.
Long story short, if you're looking at one of these lift thingies... you have one vote for YES from a former skeptic.

Re: CS 22 Boat Lift
Hey there. Yep. Been there two seasons now and very happy with it. I never thought I'd be a marina guy but after we gave up trying to buy a lake house in the crazy market this is the way to go. I don't miss trailering every time we take her out. They keep adding docks there so I guess it's the place to be. Give us a wave if you see us out this summer!

Right there with you. This will be our 2nd season. Pretty much given up on a house on Lanier. Saw a listing that was within our "budget" and got really excited then realized it was just for land!GhostWhisperer wrote: Wed Mar 15, 2023 8:25 amHey there. Yep. Love it and wish we had one. We rent a slip in Lk Washington and I'd totally go for a lift. If I may ask, what did you pay for it in total (unit, install)?
