LOL..nobody has mentioned that to me about my email address. SeaDek installed yesterday! Photos will certainly follow...after Saturday, which is boat preventative maintenance and buffing (the gelcoat) day. Then she'll look proper for photos. Installing the SeaDek was less daunting after we began. My son helped me and since we're both a little OCD when it comes to stuff like this we were both apprehensive but figured we could do it ourselves. We decided to use 3M Primer 94 like the SeaDek installation video showed. Interestingly, their printed installation instructions mentioned nothing about the primer. Since I'm a belt and suspenders kinda guy...we applied the primer. Overall I'm thrilled with the look and texture. NO MORE CARPET! The hardest piece to fit properly are the ones surrounding the seat bases. Having the SeaDek on the stern deck and swim deck look like it will provide an awesome experience entering and exiting the boat on the lake.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results. I've got a quote for about $3k from a Galveston-area boat shop to come up to Lake Conroe and laser measure, order and install SeaDek into my 2006 262. I've seen some awesome pictures of other mid-2000's boats and know it'll look great. After seeing the pictures posted just below yours by the guy that used Gator I'm definitely going with his color combo - dark blue accent under a medium gray primary color. Makes sense on my boat- white w/ blue stripe, gray/white interior. Beautiful!

Working with the folks at SeaDek was easy. They were responsive and professional. They already had the layout for a 240 but I still had to modify the templates as they were not exact for my boat. Order in the off season and they ship in about 2-3 weeks versus during the season which is a lot longer. Prep work was tedious but worthwhile. I decided to use the 3M primer around the edges of each panel to assure long term adhesion of the panels. It was easy to apply but had to do a little post install clean up with acetone as you cannot know exactly where the edge of each panel will be prior to installing and you want the 3M primer to go to the edge. After several times on the water in temperatures up to about 88 degrees (F), it performs perfectly. Non slip, just soft enough under foot, cleans up nicely (no more Cheetos for the grands), looks fantastic. Got several nice compliments at a restaurant dock on Lake Lanier (our home lake).More photos to follow.

Hey TwoDuck - Looks great; nice work! I'm interested in purchasing and DIY installing a similar setup in the next off year. Definitely bookmarking this thread for reference and any questions that arise along the way.

A couple quick questions, if you don't mind:

• For the template modifications, I assume Seadek sent you the templates, you made the template mods, you sent back the template mods to Seadek, and they made the decking for you. Is that accurate?
• Did Seadek send you the installation instructions, including a list of the recommended supplies necessary for installation?

tdryan, yes, SeaDek sent me templates they had on file for my boat make and model. I made mods, they sent another set of templates, I cut them into the individual pieces and placed them with painters tape. No further mods required. Ordered. They sent the pieces and emailed me a link with a video. I had already looked at several videos to learn about the process. I bought a roller on Amazon https://a.co/d/iG6gdP5 and used the 3M adhesive primer on approx 1.5" of each edge for the best adhesion. https://a.co/d/iC1SXQ6 these two items are very important in my opinion. The installation took about 3 hours for me and my son...and we're both pretty anal about details so took our time. Had the boat out with about 30 people who all took turns skiing, wake boarding, tubing, riding, etc. Everyone commented how cool it looked and how comfortable it was under foot. The outside temp was about 90 degrees and, even in full sun, the surface was not even close to being hot.

If i currently have snap in carpet and go with sea dek or any other glue down material, do I just remove the screw bases and apply the material over the holes?

DFWdude - yes. There may be a couple of holes exposed after installing the SeaDek. You can easily put some white silicone in the holes.
