Hi guys -
I just spent over $200 on a pair of 3/8" Phender Pro quick-disconnect fender pin/socket sets. I want to install them on the starboard gunwale, near the existing cleats - one midships and one aft. Does anyone know if that's a safe place to drill into the body? I'm concerned because it's the driver's side, and wonder if there might be wires or cables running down that side, just under the gunwales.
Does anybody know if these are safe places to drill and mount? The maximum penetration of the drill and the socket should be less than an inch.
Thanks!!

Re: Phender Pros - Drilling Locations?
I wouldn't drill without checking what's on the back side, either by feeling up there or by looking. I haven't been on a 262 for a while, but I believe you can reach up under the gunwale and find the wiring and whatnot - I did something similar when running new wiring for speakers in my boat. If it were a newer model you can often find pictures of boats with factory-installed fender clips, which gives a good idea of locations.
