transom plugs located?

Post by brandboat23 »

I was hoping someone can provide a photo or video for a Volvo Enginer what Transom plugs look like and where to locate them?

I was told they are copper metal color

I think you may benefit from having your local dealer walk you through your boat if you're brand new to boating.

The transom plug is found on the outside of the stern (back) of the boat, at its lowest point. There's usually a round metal flange that has a threaded hole in the middle, and the transom plug screws in there. Normally you remove it every time you take the boat out of the water so that the bilge (inside bottom) of the boat can drain, and to prevent transporting invasive species from one lake to another through bilge water.
