1975 cobalt 19cd… How do you open walkway window to bow??

Hello you guys and gals!! I am the 2nd and new owner of a 1975 Cobalt 19cd. The boat is really clean and runs great. What I can’t figure out is how to let down the window to the walkway?? It has a button on the panel the says windshield but when I press it it doesn’t do anything. I’m wondering if anybody has seen this or knows anything about how to get this window down. I hate having to jump over it to get the bow to tie up or anchor. Help!!!

Check the fuse. The window motor is in the bow. When at rest and quiet, push the button. Can you hear it trying to activate?
