303 Fabric Protector - Bad Batch

Just an FYI if you use 303 Fabric Protector on your canvas convers etc. I do and have for years and never an issue. End of last summer I went to treat my bimini with a brand new bottle I had just bought, directly from their Amazon store. I spray the back half of the top, I have to move to the other side to finish and when I looked back at the section I had just treated it had a white residue all over it - on a black Sunbrella top! I tried to wipe it off, but no dice. Long and short is I called the 303 Folks (Golden Eagle) and they informed me there had been a bad batch and it could in fact leave this white residue. Said it should clean off with a detergent like Ivory Liquid or Dawn. They sent me out a new bottle. All that's fine, things happen -- my point is pay attention if you are using 303 Fabric Protector, test a small section. My top came clean, but it was not easy. I tested a small area with the new bottle and it works as expected.

Thanks for letting us know. I've always liked their products and their company, and they even provided the forum with some stuff to give away several years back. Glad to hear they told you about it and made it right.
