Speaker brand

Recommended speaker brand jl audio m6 series or roswell r1 series. Doing 8 6.5 and 1 10 sub

I listened to them both, and was surprised that despite JL Audio's stellar reputation I preferred the more refined sound of the Roswell. I bought a handful of them and a JL Audio amp to upgrade my boat a few years back, and added a new head unit and remote but didn't add a sub. I don't think you'd need to match the sub brand to the main speakers for sound, but it might be nice for the grills to match.

Found the roswell r1 6.5 led lit ROSC920-1600 on sale for 180.00 a pair . Thinking that's a excellent price on them.

Yeah, that's a steal (Hodges Marine closeout?) - and I think you'll like them a lot if you haven't heard them yet.
