Trailer options? 24 footer

So I'm about to pick up a Cobalt 24 SD. The boat comes without a trailer so I've been in a debacle on a trailer. I've looked at every trailer possible I think. A guy has tried to sell me a boatmate moomba trailer and said it won't have any issues. It's a 2014 inboard boatmate. Should I do this or just buy either a rocket trailer or another option was fast load trailer. It's crazy to me that all these trailers I've found don't have brakes.

TL;DR looking at boatmate trailer that was for inboard for 24SD. Trip will be 11 hours. Other options are rocket trailer, Fastload, and a phoenix trailer.

That is not a light boat. You want brakes on all trailer axles, IMHO.

I agree with mdadgar, you'll want trailer brakes for sure. Brakes are "necessary" on all axles, but you will be thankful if they are. My trailer was purchased at the dealership I purchased my consigned boat through, brand new. It's an all aluminum McClain trailer. Nice because it's light (I've actually seen if float) and I won't need to worry about rust, since it's all aluminum beam construction. The trailer also had adjustable bunks (that weren't properly adjusted for my 242 when we purchased it) so it is pretty universal. The trailer pulls smooth, has nice looking wheels, and disc brakes on the trailing axle. These brakes do seem to be adequate for the job at hand with my boat. Would I "like" brakes on the leading axle as well, yes, but they aren't a must for my boat/situation. Take a look at these trailers, or a similar brand if need be. My only complaint with the trailer new was no spare tire, and crappy China Bomb tires, which have since been replaced, and spare added to match.

Funny all these people in Florida are asking why the heck would I need brakes.. seems very common to not have them in FL

Recommending trailer brakes has less to do with where you live than with the weight of the trailer plus boat. A 24' Cobalt is often quite a bit heavier than a 24' ski boat or similar, and at least surge brakes are definitely a good idea.
