Removing porta potti on 252 or 242

Has anyone removed the head on the 252 or 242? Purchasing a 2008 or 2009 252 (or 242) and have no need for the head. Wondering if it's possible to remove?

If it's the little Sanipottie thing it's super simple, just two latches on the sides to flip up and then it comes right out, no plumbing or anything to worry about.

Like thunder said, it’s quite easy if you are purchasing a Cobalt with one of the two types of porta - potties shown below. Simply unlatch the left and right side and lift out. We did it all the time on our 262 to store BIG tubes in that area.

In the second pic, the hose in the rear of the pottie would have to be taken off as well since that goes to the holding tank. Easy with a screwdriver. Just loosen the hose clamp.
May want to plug the hose with a rag afterward if there is any odor.

Bottom line. Easy.
