Transhield Shipping Cover

Post by Cycleman6 »

I was looking through my options on the R5 I just ordered, and one thing I see on Cobalt.com that I didn't order was a transhield shipping cover. Anyone know what that option is? I googled it and it looks like shrinkwrap that the boats are shipped with? If you don't order and pay for that, are the boats shipped open, exposed to the elements on the truck? Anyone have experience with this?

TSC covers most of the boat. Regular shipping cover is attached at the rub rail and covers the entire top of the boat. The boats are shipped on a semi, so they are up and out of the way of any potential debris to begin with.
Waste of money unless you are shipping coast to coast and on a regular boat trailer riding without the protection of a semi trailer bed below it, and exposed to the open road.
