My 262 Build
My 262 Build
Seeing the thread for the other build inspired me to create this thread to keep up with my changes to "Makin IT" I have upgraded the stereo to an all Wet Sounds system. I am starting on upholstery this week. Not sure what else but I will keep it all here.

Re: My 262 Build
The front red/green light on the boat was busted. First project was small for me. I ordered an exact replacement off of Amazon and installed it myself. Simple as could be. Removed three screws and disconnected the quick connect on the light and installed the new one.
Stereo was next. I bought all of the equipment over the span of a few months with the intentions of doing the install myself. After a long talk with the Mrs, she was really against me doing it. Something about the amount of money we had in the equipment and me doing it wrong and blah blah blah.. so I agreed. Luckily we have an amazing installer in my area. I contacted him and got the boat to him for install. I would love to say it was easy but it wasn't. The laying it all out was the hard part. I was just 100% against it going back into the glove box. As you will see in the pics, it turned out ok.

The Amp and Black Box:
The left side is the Black Box, which is the brains for the wet sounds system. The right side is my amp, wet sounds syn-dx-4.

Don't think I am missing any cushions. I am however missing one of the tables. I am not sure how much we will even use the table we have, if any.

I may be mistaken, but where is the one your butt sits on? It's one of the filler cushions for the walkthru.

Re: My 262 Build
I have replaced the screws in the windshield that hold the little black tabs on. The tabs that keep the window closed and secured. the ones in were basically loose. I attempted to tap the windshield to use bolts but it just seems the metal isn't think enough in that spot.... so I went up one size in screws and that has fixed it.

Ahh...figured that cushion was elsewhere since it was not pictured.
As far as the windshield, I had one turn tab that was mismatched. Bought two more on amazon for 5 bucks. The OCD in me would not let them be. No one else would even notice....except folks on this site.

Re: My 262 Build
With the radio install, I did also have him install a wet sounds rgb controller to control the light rings around my speakers and the lights in the speakers themselves. This is temporary for me, I think. My wet sounds radio is capable of doing that with a $500 module. I didn't want to spend the 500 at the time so I had him add the $100 stand alone controller.
Future:
RGB module for stereo
some re upholstery
swim platform stereo remote (waiting on wet sounds to release it)
steering wheel (thanks a lot BB, now I have a complex about the one I have.. which I THOUGHT was fine)
possible relocate my trim tab gauge and then replace that wood grain panel

Where I currently have the trim tab:
. .
Current remote that is no longer functioning:
. .
We will be replacing that remote with a new wet sounds remote as soon as it is released. We will have to figure out how to custom fab something to make it fit and the hatch still raise up.
