Pulled most of my seats out tonight, super easy so far but I know the hard sections are yet to come.

Yea, I am doing all of them or almost all of them. Need to pull out the bow seat backs tomorrow. One of those will be a bear and may do the back of the big L seats in the very back but they look real hard to get off

If you can get your arm up and behind them you will be ok. Makes you wonder how they do it at the factory.

I don't know that my arm is long enough for that..but we will see. Also noticed one spot, I feel a screw...like its screwed in from the front but sure can't find the head

Ive always wondered about the “ tricks” & techniques required to get all those cushions out.
PLEASE take pictures! I’d like to know specifically about methods used for the 260 series. Just curious. There is no record here of a naked interior picture of a 262/3 Cobalt.

I have no idea either. Not sure if cobalt can help you or talk to t555550000 mobile guy maybe he knows.

Judd when I pulled mine on the 240...

There are screws on the solid cushioned trim pieces on the bottom. The parts where your seat cushions fit in. You have to run your hand under there to find them all, and I used a short Phillips to get them out.

On the seatback there are bolts with nuts and washers. I tied a box end around my wrist to reach up in there and back off the nuts. I learned to the the wrench after I dropped it a couple times and had to fish it out.

As far as the side trim pieces that are cushioned like the surround on tbe bow, I never got those out. I couldn't reach the backing bolts. I just cleaned and conditioned them really good.

At the upholstery shop they had a sample book of marine grade vinyls I matched to. It's not exact but very very close. Be sure they use marine vinyl.

I added red piping to my seats because I had also added a red boot stripe and red steering wheel. Those small accents really made the boat pop. Just a thought...

Something else to consider is just buying the seats and seat cushions from the 262 in NY. It would be was way cheaper and I think it matches your boat.

I wish I would have done that when I was a teenager, YT. I still have my dad's 1/2" Craftsman box wrench stuck in the frame of our 1960 Austin Healey. Yup, still there to this day. (...and my dad always reminds me too). He was not a happy camper that fateful 90 degree day back in 1983.
