They are Heartless. :D
This song has an early Rush sound with that guitar intro. 👍

Growing up, I used to think there was a deeper meaning to this song by Rush (socialism, French Canadian war, etc) . According to drummer, Neil Peart, he just wrote it based upon what he thought trees might behave like if they were people.
.

.
My wife and I have seen Rush in concert more times than we can remember. Amazing they just recently were inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame (2013). Rolling Stone was not a fan of progressive rock back in the day. They said Geddy Lee’s voice sounded like Daffy Duck. ....whatever. :D
.

If only time could stand still. My favorite lyrics from this song...
“Summer's going fast
Nights growing colder
Children growing up
Old friends growing older
.....Freeze this moment a little bit longer. Make each sensation a little bit stronger. Experience slips away....the innocence slips away...”

Oh, and I love Aimee Mann’s voice. 👌🏻

I had floor seats to the very first Boston tour they ever did. It was like 20 years before they ever did another one. Center section, 5 rows back. Took a girl that was waaay out of my league. A fanTAStic night. When they played Smokin the guy rose up out of the fog with the lights and fog swirling and a massive pipe organ rising all around him. It all came up out of the stage. I've often wondered how they did that. Some of those organ pipes looked 20' tall and 48" wide.
