SR if you haven't already you need to add a dimmer to your bow LEDs or a switch to turn them off completely. Otherwise you can't see a thing when you're motoring across the lake. My wet sounds remote will dim them down pretty low, and I'm sure your little gadget will do the same thing,

Yes, I'll have both. The led controller is bluetooth controlled via my phone to change cokor and brightness, but on Winnipesaukee, we are not allowed to run the leds while underway so I'm tying the controller power to one of the accessory switches to turn it on and off. The controller remembers its last color setting on power off, which is nice.

Some progress today. I cut all the new metal and replacement wood pieces for the swim platform, cemented the radio insert into the glove box and faired it out, added the woodgrain wrap to the port switch panel and started putting the new electrical 'panel' parts together. Here's some pics...

I contacted them ti see what they say. I would think i could bypass the bus all together seeing that I'm only going to use a app. Thanks though.

Did you see on ebay there are some windless stainless for sale that might work for you. Google cobalt boat parts and maybe add windlass. If you can't find them I'll get you the item numbers.

I did see those parts. Got to research the 293 windlass design and see how close it resembles a modern R7 windlass.

Ok, some updates...
The electric panel is done and I now have power to everything. At first I thought I screwed up the switch panel wiring that I mucked with but then discovered that the battery power to the ignition switch comes from the battery connection at the engine - which still isn't installed! So, after rigging up a connection to the battery, all was good until I tested my auxiliary water pump switch that I thought I had connected to the head aux switch. I pulled the head breaker panel out and discovered that a previous owner had modified the wiring in the panel to completely bypass all 3 breakers as all 3 of them had failed. Yikes! So now, that is getting wrapped in rosewood and updated with new hardware. I'm also replacing the head courtesy light with a modern Led unit while I'm at it.

Speaking of lights, the engine compartment lights had corroded, so I replaced those with little led spotlights as well... I'm thinking of trying to rig those to a mercury switch on the engine hatch so that they only turn on when the hatch is up..
