How many Cobalt’s?

Post by Driller »

Do any of the members know the total number of Cobalt boats which have been sold from the factory? I’m thinking it’s not a huge number. Less than 10,000?

It’s gotta be more than 10,000. Hell there are probably 1,000 just on table rock lake. Seems like most bow riders I see on TRL are cobalts

As of 2017, Cobalt was producing over 2,000 boats per year in its Neodesha facility.
That's roughly 5 1/2 boats a day.
To get to 10,000 they'd only have to do around 1/2 a boat a day over the last 50 years. So I'm thinking well north of 10,000.

Right, but in the earlier years prior to the peak in 2006 this wasn't the case. It is likely I am considerably low, but the number isn't 100,375.

Not sure of actual total number but i agree 100,000 would be a lot.
Between 2006 and now your talking over 24,000, probably close to 30,00. Add the previous 35 years and I could see that number hitting 50,000.

I would think it would be at least close to that. Heck, I have only been out on KY Lake in mine about 10 times and I can tell you between the dealership and the lake there are probably 50 here.

Sent off an e-mail to Cobalt. Hope to have an official number or at least an estimate shortly.

Wagers anyone? How about a high low of 50,000?
