The dash came out pretty nice - I'm real happy for now. I'm thinking of also wrapping the painted part around the black vinyl pad on the glove box door - thoughts?

Add you can see. The throttle /shifter is also finished, though I'm going to see if I can get another chrome cover plate without the kill switch hole.

Looks good! I used wood grain vinyl wrap on mine too, dressed it up nice. Thought about redoing with carbon fiber or similar to make it look a little more modern, maybe someday.

I think wrapping the painted part would look good.

If you're ever in Central Massachusetts, I'll make time to hang out YT. Hell, if you're here, there's probably a cool auction for me to go check out!

Vinyl wrap the trim on the glove box. It's letting you down. Everything looks great. You do a really nice job.

The stereo is finished. Unfortunately, I seem to have some annoying noise in the system that is noticeable at really really low volume. I have some work left to debug that, but everything is installed and working.

The head switch panel is finished - I'll install it tomorrow. I replaced every item on it (switches, LEDs and breakers).

Unfortunately, I didn't have quite enough wrap to do the glove box door, so I ordered some more. That will have to wait until next week.

And I've made some progress on the swim platform. As of tonight, all of the metal and wood parts are epoxied in place. I'm hoping that tomorrow night I'll start laying some fiberglass. I checked with Aquamarinedeck today and they said my platform pads should be finished next week.. so, good timing.

Pretty much everything on the boat that I wanted "Full" bilge access for is finished so I'm hoping to get the engine back in next week. Then I can wrap up the sun deck vinyl and get that back on. After that, it's just finishing the swim platform and repainting the outdrive and a quick buff job. (then, working out all the bugs that are undoubtedly going to surface when I put it in the water and start tuning the new cam)

SR, are the circular holes on the starboard side of the swim platform for a BBQ mount?

Yes - the previous owner had installed a grill back there. It's possible that their lack of attention to sealing the holes may be why water got in and the steel rusted, except that the worst of the rust was near the steps and there had clearly been a 'repair' of some kind to the swim platform where the stairs mounted. I use repair in quotes because it's possible that the repair was done during it's original construction based on how the aluminum plate was laid out. No matter at this point... the platform will be completely fixed and solid when I'm finished. And for anybody that cares, the best match of Awlgrip white to the original white gel coat of my 2004 was "Blue Glo White". Hopefully it matches as well as the paint chip once I paint the platform!!!

The glove box door is done and I'm glad I did it. Part of me thinks it might be too much rosewood, but I still like it better than gray paint. Ebay was having a site wide 20% off sale, so I went and ordered a new steering wheel. I'm hoping to get the engine back in on Friday but I'm at the whim of the local shop with the tall bay and chain fall... The swim platform is getting the first round of fiberglass layup tomorrow night and the 4200 should be cured enough for me to show off another cool feature I added. ;-)

Really coming together. Looks like a new boat. Totally changed the look of the glovebox.
