I know.. I'm Debbie Downer but I just crank ours up too to the uncomfortable level inside the boat..
Thats a valid concern but starboard is dense but not particularly brittle like say, plexiglass. It's actually on the softer side. It might soak up some of that vibration. I think wood would get wet and for something like aluminum you would need SlideRuleRacer to machine something.

I like my second idea the best.

I like the bracket ideas using the grille studs. I have an idea on how to build something like that using aluminum C channel and some spacers to allow airflow around the speakers. Bought the parts last night, might try to work on it a bit tonight. Will post pics.

Just catching up with this thread, T550. Very cool project. I like the grill stud idea as well knowing your talent for fabrication. 👌🏻

Looking forward to pics

Well I got some stuff put together tonight. It's not the prettiest thing I've ever made but it's in a place nobody will ever see it so I'm not too worried about it. Hopefully it fits

Good god man. That looks ugly. Couldn't you at least paint it ? 😁

Nice work. Will these run off a Dentacated amp ?

Yep it sure is!!

No amp, I'm going to tie them in to the rear channel on my head unit. Front channel already has 4 speakers on it, rear channel only has 2 so it should be ok.

Nice job. That should work well. What does your wife think about using her counters and table for a fab shop?

I was thinking the same thing. He is always using them. Granite makes a great workbench.lol
It's too hot to do anything in the garage and no basements in Az.
Do you guys aircondition your garages?

Nicely done T55000000. Looks like it wont restrict to much air with the spacing. Is there room to mount a 12v computer type fan next to it.. just a thought
