Mefi 4 scan tool and software

Post by slideruleracer »

Long story short, I have 2 scan tools for MEFI 4. 1 is upgraded with the ability to load tunes, the other is just for scanning. I'm selling the 1 for scanning. It comes with the original software (which happens to be freeware) and the cable. It's pretty easy to use and allows you to see all of the engine parameters in real time, including how many seconds the engine has spent in different rpm ranges. It requires a pc with a USB port. I've been running it on my windows 10 laptop, but it will probably work with much older windows versions.

$150 shipped to US.

PM me for interest.

Interested. Whatquestions do I need to ask to see if this will work with my engine?

You need to make sure it's a Mefi 4 ECU. The most direct way is to go and checkout the ecu on your engine. If I remember correctly, the version of MEFI is actually explicitly identified on the ECU. 4, 4a or 4b is what this cable was purchased for. If all you can get is the part number, then I believe it can be cross referenced.

However, I do not think you 2014 is MEFI 4 - in fact, I'm quite confident it isn't.

Ok. Thank you. I would love a scan tool for this engine however I don’t want to pay $500 for the rindi tool.
