Just bought a 2006 250 with the 8.1 Volvo. Only 153 hours. Pick it up this week. What an awesome boat. Sea trial was great. Boat stored high and dry it's whole life. Can't wait to get it in the water in Maryland. Going to be a little crazy trailering a boat for the first time!!! Anything I need to know about the 250? Everything I read said great boat!!

Welcome from Ohio. Really trailering/backing in is your main thing to learn. Two quick suggestions

1) A7 method of launching is give your boat strap 6 inches of slack when backing in off ramp. When it floats off you r in deep enough to launch.
2) when retrieving your boat back onto trailer....it has to be 100% against the bow stop...no space. Otherwise bow of boat will bounce on the road and u will get spider cracks on your haul. If u see a gap. Back in again and winch boat up onto trailer.

Formula400SS is my dream boat!!! Have a Chevy Tahoe for trailering. Just need to get it to the eastern shore which is about 150 miles. Our home is on the water and we have a lift.

Welcome from California! I see your in a inland waterway. Fresh? Salt? You’ll be fine as your trailer is set correctly for tongue weight and bunks as pointed out. Take your time and take it wide is the ol saying.

Thats a great year Cobalt model! You’ll love her. So glad you found us!!! The center walk thru transom models are the bomb for seating. I’m a huge fan of the Formula SS models too. You got great boating taste my friend.

I'm a Formula fan also. we share the same dream boat, but I'll take a 35' crossover.
For a bowrider, we are in just as good of hands with Cobalt.

Trailering 150 miles? The best advice you will get starts with tires. Forget tread depth...If they are over 5 years old, do yourself a HUGE favor and buy a new set.
