Does that toon have a BB too?

Smarty pants. If you look close my brother's has a green binimi and the other one is red. So no I'm not on it with the fenders dragging in the water. What ever my brother does im innocent.I'm not part of his boating misadventure..

It’s ok... we all have connections with pontooning ( that’s the techy term I’m sure)

Being on a pontoon is fun. It’s looking back at it after you tie up and walk away that’s tough 😂😂😂

Nice hearing 232 working at Loto . Fun lake for the places to see as mentioned. On my list!

This is the merc 6.2l 350. I did some speed runs both with the top up and without yesterday. The difference between bimini top deployed or rolled up in the bag is within the measurement error of about 1 mph. WOT was 4960 rpm, speed with gps was 47.5. The book says WOT range is 5000-5400, so I'm on the low edge of that range. Gear ratio is 2.2:1, B3 drive, 26 pitch prop (15.25" 4 blade and 13.75" 3 blade). 2460 ft asl.

The arch adds some drag all on its own, but I don't plan on removing that for testing. I got the data from vesselview mobile, which is averaging rpm readings, and uses the phone's GPS, which is doing the same - so it is hard to judge the 20 mph hole-shot value. I recorded the screen and microphone input, and playing back, It hits 20 mph between 3 and 3.8 seconds and 35 mph between 6 and 7. I'll see if I find a better combination of tools to refine that. (I slowly increased throttle for the WOT test).

Anyone else have some 220s 6.2l 350 data to share?

Nice real world test. Loce hearing about it!

So why aren’t folding the top down to the dash and attempting a completely unsafe operation run .. well just a thought

Kidding aside that’s pretty fast for the altitude you figured. She has a couple more should you see a stronger baro and low humidity. Nice set up

Thanks! And yes, many differences. Saylorville's charms are easy access and less than a mile away.
The Latitude bar at the Saylorville Marina can hold its own with several nightspots at LOTO when adjusted for scale.

LOTO is simply boat heaven. I burned so much gas and only saw a fraction of the lake. Saturday on LOTO is for the big boys in the main channel. The rest of the week it's pretty darn good. We will be back again. Towing the boat 700 miles round trip proved to be no big deal. Was a little worried as that is the farthest we have gone with it behind my truck. Average speed on the way home was 57 mph and avg fuel economy was 12.7. Pretty impressive.

No pics, but at least got out for an afternoon. Wife had sinus surgery 10 days ago so we had to go slow. Spent most of the day under 10mph. Dropped wife at dock and took 1 son and other sons friend out for a little race boat as the 3 year old calls it.

New props jump the boat out of the water. May have lost a mph or two on the top end.

Hope the wife heals fast. The little ones are just a hoot. What did you switch too and did you look at your rpm's?

This surgery #2 of 3 this year. She's a trooper. I was surprised she already went back to work after a week.

It was pretty rough so I wasn't able to really air it out and get max speed. I got it to 57mph at 4500rpm. That's about 250 more rpm than before. I went from f9 to f7.

That's cool. I think that's where your going to want to be then. Your hole shot and midrange also improved.

Yea weekend LOTO is definitely different than weekday LOTO. Sometimes i wish i had a trailer to pull her up there for a few days early in the week to go bar hopping. For now our lifestyle demands a lake more like TRL. Perhaps once the kids leave the roost well contemplate a move up to LOTO. Who knows. It would certainly require a larger boat though. Im not interested in hearing people yell fearful for their lives...lol.
