Well that too. Or next time I rewire it (did that today ) Or remove and reinstall it. All excuses to go hang out on the boat 😁

Has anyone upgraded their stereo head unit with the Sony MEX-M100BT as well as the CPS hard wireed remotes? I have the new head unit installed but the factory CPS hard wired remotes are spotty at best and I would like to replace them but can’t find a good recommendation for it. I have been using both my iPhone with Sony app and the wireless remote that came with the head unit but it really bothers me the factory remotes don’t work correctly or to their full potential. Yes, I am that anal.

Bobo that's the stereo I have, and it works fine with the remotes. My boat came with these Sony remote replacements. Someone had to fabricate a backplate for both units but boy they work good! Hope this helps

Thanks ytmsn. Do you by chance know the model of the remotes? Perhaps a picture that shows it?

Thanks BB. Looks like Sony has discontinued their wired remotes all together and Sonic Eltronix is out. I'll keep looking.

I have both the CPS and the Sony with the MEX100 and work fine. If anyone needs a CPS remote I have a new one extra I can part with.

I have the same CPS remotes as posted above, and installed the Sony MEX-GS620BT head unit and they work perfectly. I hated to have to buy a 5 year old head unit, but the bluetooth is a major need, and I love having the remotes. So was not going to give that up.

Anybody use the MEX-GS620BT over the 610. Can still get both, but want to get one to install over the winter to add bluetooth.

I have the 610. I'm thinking of going to the 100. Might sell mine but really they are not that expensive

.

Those look good YT.

I’m trying to avoid the blanking plate by using Rockford Fosgate remotes as well as their head unit. Hopefully it turns out ok.

Also new subwoofer being installed this week. :D
