I was at LOTO on friday. We had a few beers at shady gators while waiting for the rain to clear out. Saw a catamaran hulled boat with turbine engines put out of horny toads. When he fired up his engines it actually sounded just like a jet engine firing up. I couldn't believe it. Pretty wild.

This family was just here in California last weekend. They have several of these cats ( this is the small one  ) and make most of the runs and events across the country.

Oooh. That’s such a good lookin’ machine.

Did you happen to see Fountain’s 32 Thunder Cat there? Curious if they showed up.
Reggie III is experimenting with some concave Cat bottom hulls. Interesting concept allowing it to lean in the turns vs running totally flat.....

Slick Fountain. Fun read! I’m not a fan of the off camber turning so this should be the ticket for people who want a more stable turning at speed.

We saw this one as well at Toads docks. It was kinda cool....it was rainy and then there was a break in the clouds and like 10 or 12 of these boats all fired up to head out. Lots of power.

It was a great shootout! The wind made the lineup a little shaky for the first few hours on Saturday but it was a great day. American Ethanol took the top gun again with a run of 204 mph. I got the ride of my life when we finally got past the no wake and my buddy had an itch to get after it. We had the scarab out of the water a couple different times!!

Sounds neat but I've heard it's nearly hurricane sized waves afterwards while leaving the area which doesn't sound fun, safe or appealing. It sure doesn't sound like a good place for WL.
