New boat, loving Lake George

Post by AdirondackCobalt »

Had a great summer on Lake George, NY, with our new 2018 CS22, our first Cobalt!

We got hooked on this boat at the local boat show in March, ordered our Pacific Blue bowrider, and took delivery in June from Boats by George. Great dealer and love their quick launch marina option!

Boat has a good ride, and the Volvo 280 DP has plenty of power. Pulls a big tube easily, has strong mid-range, and tops 50 mph on GPS. Nicely optioned with Seagrass flooring, transom trim switch, dual batteries, Bimini top, tonneau covers, docking lights, fender clips, table and rear filler cushion.

Already have more than 30 hours this summer, and another month or so to go before it gets cold. Looking forward to fall boating on our beautiful lake.

Basically it's platform storage across the street from the water. Call ahead and they launch it and moor it at the dock. When you bring it in they help you tie up, they they put it away. The "valets" also fuel it on request... makes it super easy on a busy lake with limited dockage and launch ramps...

Sounds like a nice set up. Plus I'm sure parking isn't that far away. Next time get us a shot of the docks coming in. I have a picture in my mind of what it looks like. And yes I just opened that door. Sorry for your thread is about to go south on my behalf 🙏😂😂

Welcome from St Louis/Table rock lake! Great looking boat and sounds like you have already made some good memories on it. When I use to boat on the Mississippi River I use to keep my boat on a rack storage and they would just pick it up with a fork lift and put it in the water and moor it for me. Sounds similar to what you are doing.

So fancy, We don't have such things in our little lake town...we are old school...launch early so you get a good parking spot not in the ditch on the side of the road on a busy holiday weekend!

And BTW, love the colors of the boat!

Welcome from California. Very nice boat and it’s nice to see service like that to take some items of stress away!

Now that this thread made a left a few posts ago. How about you find out about the Service trailer in the photo with the pneumatic bunks? Lol

Welcome from Oklahoma! I've always been a fan of Cobalt blue. And I'm with Nauti, we don't have any kind of fancysmanchy valet service at our Lake either. I'm sure we have folks over there that will launch it, but bringing it back may be the problem!

The quick launch program is great, and those special trailers make it possible. They have a couple of these trailers, one larger than the other, and they are pulled by a tractor across the street to the storage area.

I did build a tool kit, with all the great input I got from you all...

Attached is a photo of the marina used for the quick launch program
