Happy Independence Day everyone! I know it's the 5'th, but I forgot to say it yesterday.

I may have played this a little loud last night at the fireworks display, but it is such a cool version I want to share it with ya'll.

The day started out training and cold and crappy. High 60's then finally late afternoon she warmed up and the sun came out low 80's. Off for pizza and the Minocqua Bats Waterski show. Also it sure is nice 50% of the people went home.

Well, the maiden voyage went well. The boat was great.
I tried to keep it under 4K RPM, so it was what it was.. I'm dying to cut it loose.
One thing I did notice this time is that the engine is louder than I thought. No Captains call could be dealt with here, it's loud, but it sounds great.
Launching was easy. Loading it took some doing. She is a big girl.. I had to back everything in to the water a lot further than my old boat. My feet have to get wet loading.

A couple more times, and I should have a good routine..

Here's a couple pics of the day.
The steam in the background in the bottom pic? That's Niagara Falls from the top side. We can get pretty close.. it freaks my wife out every time..

This is the mouth of the Niagara River coming from Lake Erie. The swirling current in the mouth of the Niagara river is unreal, and a blast to run. That stretch of current runs a couple miles.

I never been to the falls and didn't think you could boat to it.I think it gets shallow towards it?

You can get about a mile or so from the edge of it. Maybe a mile and a half, I'm not sure. There are a line of markers entering the "no boating" zone. Cross it, and it's a 25K fine.

The place is ok. The neighbors in the same building suck.ten million little brats running around and crying. We disappear most of the day so not so bad. A group from Colorado are here really cool. His mishap is way worse then mine. He sucked up rocks in a 3 day old wave runner no insurance offered or on the ski. So the rental place said the motor is junk locked up. They tipped the ski on its side the wrong way trying to get the rocks out and sucked oil into the wrong place and wrecked the engine. So the rental place is making them buy the ski and pay for the days they are missing on the rental. So I might buy it from then they don't want to bring it to Colorado.lol I can get it pretty cheap. I have to see what model it is. I know it's a Yamaha that's it.
My mishap was my boat when coming off the trailer at the launch rolled off the bow roller and went down then a wave came and pushed the boat into the winch stand. Gel coat didn't like that. I swore. I took a short cut to another lake and it was bumper to bumper boats and all of the boats were shooting water at each other and I got pushed into the weeds and thunk. Prop is ok but I'll have to wait till tomorrow to see if any other damage. My brother hiding under the bridge while it rained a bit.lol

Tuscany very cool! Went to the falls when I was a kid and remember looking down right at the edge of horseshoe falls! Incredible memory!

Very nice shots YT. Rained a bit last night really the only rain all week.
Ah the boat will be fine. I'll fix it this weekend. I have gel at home. As long as we didn't have engine probs all good.
