Interesting, I'll ask them about that kit when I call them. I wonder why they would use the MSD to control rev limit?

All good questions. One of the main things the ecu tune is supposed to do is clean up the factory rich idle on the 502's. Mines got a great sounding idle and it gets out of the hole really nicely. The average power across the RPM range is supposed to be much better. Top-end HP is only 25 to 30 more which really isn't much on a boat.

I ran the prop slip numbers and it's sitting right at 11% @ 5000 which means if in the cool low density air I can get it to spin 5250 RPM it would clock 65 MPH which seems very doable without swapping props.

Sorry if this not the correct place to ask prop questions but... just bought 2003 220 with 6.2 ltr Bravo 1. The boat is high time, one lake and shop took take of the boat it’s 17 yr life. Currently has 3 blade, 21pitch. Boat is very fast at 58mph but I would like it to plane sooner and slower speeds. Recommendations on 4 or 5 blade prop. Thanks

If you don't care about top speed get a High 5, it will be a stump puller and you can hold it even just off plate with minimal throttle work. There is a prop selection thread somewhere, you might get better answers there.

Sorry but I'm a revolution 4 prop fan. Great great prop I had one and I had a bunch of others. By far the best one I ever had. Also one heard great great things about the Enertia prop. Both 4 blades. The rev is a big beat but packs a punch. Contact Brett from bblades. He will direct you in the correct direction and sell you what you need and if you don't like it send it back and he will get you another one. T5billion put one on his 250 and loves it. I think he even has a thread on here somewhere on it.
