Oh whatever... Surely it's not more than that by much? Two hours maybe?

Trip sounds awesome!! Now I have to get my wife interested in it. Free Cobalt swag you say...that just might do it.

I'll check back.

.
I’m going to surprise my dad with an invite. I figured he has enough Donzi pics on our CChat forum taken from his skiing days :D (and he grew up boating) so he might just like a boat building factory tour.

So that’s one more for BBQ team Nauti. :P

....and c’mon YT, join us in KC. 8-)

Sounds like something I would love to do, but that pesky work thing is going to prevent it. Somebody's gotta test those jet engines you'll be flying in on.

I am ok /w either, the OP location may be easier. It looks like its right on I-35 so if people got a hotel over there its an easy hop on the interstate Friday AM.

On the other hand the original on 39th is better if people wanted to stay in downtown KC and have bar options and stuff Thursday/Friday night.

You are closer to the going on in KC than I am what do you think?
Nauti, I'm in south KC so the OP location is more convenient but will go to the downtown location. Still don't have a total on who all is coming? Prolly need to start a separate thread for the KC people so that we all are on the same page? Hotel eats who's driving ect. I will drive down and back on Friday but would love to meet on Thursday for BBQ.

Yeah either location works for us as well - hell its not like KC is huge they are what 15min apart? We will be going to Lawrence after so if we do OP we can just hop on K10.

Guess we need an idea of where everyone is staying in KC then we can decide. YT - you want to start a thread for KC travelers so we can plan or should we just do it here?

I know right? YT - you cant skip Burnt Ends at Q39 they are amazing.

I wanted to take everyone to Oklahoma Joes - I refuse to call it Joes KC - but the location would be tough w/ a big group. If any of you guys do have some extra time in KC check out the original gas station location. Their French Fries are amazing.

Nauti go ahead and kick it off. I love how this this is evolving!

Because of the factory location, Arrowhead Boats (Cobalts #1Dealer and good friends with Paxton) and a ton of Cobalts on Grand Lake in Oklahoma, I thought Tulsa would be a great staging area. But... I don't know if we have a single member on Grand, and I haven't heard from anyone else wanting to come into Tulsa yet.

If everyone is flying into KC Thursday, then I would much rather meet up with "all ya'll" , meet everyone, eat some good Bar-B-Que and head out for Neodesha the next day.

I haven't reached out to the Factory yet because I'd like to get a better idea of a head count, but I'm thinking I will in the next few days. We need to let them know what our plans are, and at this point, roughly it looks to be maybe 15? I'd sure like to get us up to 30 or 40 for sure. 50 or 60 would be over the top. That's only 25 members with a spouse, and not a stretch at all.

How many of you members are lurking, reading, and have never posted? Now is the time! We are close to 1,000 strong! We need your input!

Done - could you get that thread pinned?

Also yes I would say calling cobalt sooner rather than later would be a good idea. It took them a couple days to get the tour arranged for just Katie and I - telling them 20 crazy internet people are going to descend upon their sleepy Midwest town may blow their minds. Hell with only 20 people we are going to single-handedly increase the population of their town by 1% lol.

Me get it pinned? Nope, that's a John deal.

I think 20 will be easy, but I'm shooting for 50. I'll call the rep today on my way to Dallas.

If you have room for me, I think I can join your group in KC on Thursday night (I'll be coming in from Boston). Do you think we would be back in KC by Friday evening?
