who do you think makes the best trailer?

I Love the Myco Aluminum...

Because then you order the Myco cradle for your hoist so your baby sleeps perfect.

Oh and I Love my EZ Loader ( I don’t want to upset the trailer Gods)

It's sad Eagle trailer decided to only sell to the manufactures. I'll say I could not load my boat crooked with a Eagle trailer. My only brand new trailer was a Loadmaster. It was built for my Donzi z20. It had a stepped hull and I could come at it sideways and it would self center itself everytime. Loved it.

So far my Eagle has been great. Loads straight every time and the fit and finish is top notch. Using my finger width measuring device the most I have been off center is 1 finger st the transom. I can live with that. Wish they did aluminum

My old ez loader never failed me mechanically but I could never get it to load straight to save my life

IMO.
I have OCD, so God knows how many trailer builders I looked at before ordering.

Aluminum-
Pacific on the west coast.
Myco on the east coast.
If I were boating in salt, these are the only two I would consider, and I would drive to get one..
Early on, I almost ordered a Myco when considering towing the boat down to Florida. My wife said I was nuts, and she was right...again..

Steel for Inland fresh water lakes, there are a lot of shops that build quality steel trailers.
I used Loadmaster because they are extremely heavy duty with long 6 bunk support. My boat sits on it 99% of its life.
Eagle, Phoenix, Heritage, EZ Loader, all make top notch quality trailers.

Venture/McClain/Sport Club.. Think basic value.

I've had Haulrite, EZ Loader, and Loadmaster steel trailers and they were all good quality trailers. The Loadmaster I have now was built for my boat so it fits perfect and pulls great. I wish Featherlite made boat trailers, because the build quality versus cost can't be beaten for car trailers.

I have an EZ loader, and have zero to complain about. Very similar to Eagle and Heritage, from what I've heard and seen.

I have mixed feelings on EZ loader. I had an EZ loader and now have an Eagle. The Eagle loads 1000% easier whereas the EZloader would never load straight. I think the finish on the Eagle is slighty better and it tows great, but I do think there is slightly more flex in the Eagle than there was in the EZloader, but then again, the boat is 1600lbs heavier, so that could have something to do with it.

From a straight towing perspective, they were both very good, but in loading/unloading, Eagle wins.

If the bunks are set correctly, why would one easier to load than another?
So many different variables. It's tough but we really need to compare the same boat on different trailers.

This trailer was an absolute bear to load until I realized that this boat needs a different depth than my last one, and the dealer advice did not work.. It took me awhile to figure just where that depth was.
And mine goes in extra deep. (Teed up for ya YT)
That's why I need the cheatin poles. (Teed up for Nauti)
Now, its so simple to load..

Totally agree. The biggest thing that I think made the difference in loading was the swivel bunk brackets. My Eagle has them and my old EZ didn't. That meant that I had about 4" between being in to deep and not deep enough. The Eagle gives me more room to play and the swiveling bunks seem to help center the boat. I always wondered if the EZ loader was set up correctly---it carried the boat fine, but it was frustrating. Personally, I think the deep v hull is a little easier to load as well.

The Loadmaster that came with the 252 was obviously setup for the boat from the factory, but at some point someone moved the bow rest forward and tilted up about a foot, causing the bow roller to hit above the D ring instead of on the scuff plate below the D ring. I noticed after my first couple launches because I need to back the trailer way further into the water than my last boat to get the winch line at the right angle to pull the boat up straight. You can see on the trailer where it used to be set, so I need to move it back there in the spring. Not sure why anyone would do that, unless they used the trailer to move a bigger boat at some point...
