New Member - San Francisco Bay Area

Post by mdadgar »

So as I mentioned in the Tow Vehicle Thread, I recently picked up a new-to-me 2013 A5. We vacation every year at Table Rock Lake and this year, on our way to the airport to fly back to California, we made a spur-of-the-moment stop in Rogers, AR, to look at an A5 listed on Craigslist.

Needless to say, a week later I was driving back to Arkansas to drag the boat home. :D 3750 miles in 5 days! Lots of great tunes were heard along the way.
boat.jpg
The boat has all the options I cared about: upgraded stereo, dual batteries, automatic fire system, and the HYDRAULIC SWIM PLATFORM. Oh man, is the swim platform awesome.

It was great to get the boat home after the tongue weight issues (see the towing thread linked above - I have since had the trailer axles moved back and all is good while my new custom Pacific Boat Trailers trailer gets manufactured).

Anyway, we got the boat out on Lake Don Pedro on Sunday and man, it is SPECTACULAR. After a lot of years of my father-in-law's 19' Crownline, this sucker is a huge step up in every way.

Our family is giddy and our friends are lining up to book lake days.

Happy to be here, everyone! See you all on the water!

That may be the finest intro thread I’ve read within the past year Mark.

Great pictures too. You’re a man after my own heart buying that Cobalt spur of the moment and then trailering her back to her new home. 👌🏻

Again, so glad to have you here my friend. 8-)

Welcome formally from your Delta Niebor!

Exciting travels you had! and spending a few days myself at Beaver lake I’m sure Table Rock is Special. There’s a large amount of members here from Table Rock as it appears to be the Cobalt Mecca of the country, and one of the prettiest lakes I’ve seen.

Keep the pics coming and yes we have platform envy. Awesome A25!

Welcome from St Louis/table rock lake. Nice A25! I love the a series and was shocked when it was discontinued.

When you vacation at table rock what part of the lake do you visit? I’m near the dam and Indian point

Yes, this one:

Really nice spot and only 2.5 hours from my house (assuming no traffic). There are a couple of other lakes in the area, too:

We stay at Holiday Island, where my father-in-law's boat lives.

Man, I love it there.

That’s quite the cruise from where I am. Pretty much the other end of the lake.

It's a crazy big lake! We usually make a trip to Shell Knob for the boat-up Pizza Hut and that's an easy hour from Holiday Island if we're pulling tubes. You've got to be at least 1.5X that far again.

BIG lake!

Wow, awesome intro and glad to have you onboard. Welcome from Oklahoma! When do you normally come to TRL? We had a small meetup of CC members there this summer and we're planning on doing it again next year. Since our meetup we've had LOTS of new members join so it should be a really good time.

Again. welcome to the group and we want to see more pictures of your happy family with that A25 in action!

Welcome mdadgar! Beautiful boat. I think the A series is the pinnacle achievement of all bowriders. Never see a prettier boat.

And holy crap you are quite the journeyman....we boat at TRL as well. I'm on the same dock at Tgrace.

So....being from SF, I have to ask. You a Niners fan?

Welcome from Illinois. Beautiful boat, and it sounds like I need to start planning a trip to TRL to come cruise with the chatters.
