Re: Whatcha Drinking?

Post by tgrace98 »

when I was younger I was a redbull and vodka fan. Mainly redbull and grey goose. Well thanks to those I know have acid reflux. So I then switched to vodka and sprite. Then about 6 years ago I dove head first into the craft beer craze and that is my go to now. I love pretty much any kind of beer but my favorite is a New England style IPA. I won't drink those on the boat because at 7-9% each you can get a little to over indulged quickly. So since all pilsners pretty much taste the same to me now. I just buy whatever is on sale at the gas station up the street from the lake house lol

I've never been a whiskey/bourbon/scotch drinker (I know they are all very different) . My issue is if there is a drink in my hand I am sipping it till its gone. So 2 jack on the rocks in 30 minutes and I have myself a good buzz :D

Elliot Ness.New Belgium Fat Tire. These are end of day relaxing beers for me. Too strong to take on the water. I lose count too easily, little more potent than your average lager. Good ol Miller High Life or Coors regular for hot days interspersed with some kind of near beer N/A type.Gotta keep your wits on the water!

Hey Leinenkugel is one of Wisconsin's finest products....especially for boaters! :D

I don't drink anymore but Leinenkugel reminds me of when I was deployed to Frankfurt GE in the late '90's during the Balkan war.

After flying 14 hour days supporting Operation Allied Force, my buddy and I would ride ( during our downtime ) throughout Germany and Austria on our mountain bikes. The trail system is like nothing I have ever seen. Literally built for bikers with restaurants, road signs, and hotels all along paved trails. We would each stop and order a huge Radlermass which usually consists of a 50/50 mixture of German beer and German-style clear lemon- lemonade. Apparently the invention of the Radler has been widely attributed to the Munich gastronomer Franz Xaver Kugler in 1922.

It energized us quite well throughout the day....for biking (not flying). :D Thank you Franz.
