Greetings,

I just down sized from my 24' Chaparral to a great little 2008 202 and wanted to check in. My first boat was a 1995 196 which was an awesome family boat. I perceive the 202 as an updated version of the 196 with a great swim platform and in this case more HP. This 202 has what I have been told is a factory wake board tower for this year. Can anyone let me know what brand this tower would have been? I plan to add sun shade top to it and want to go with the same company.

Thanks in advance for your reply's.

Welcome from Missouri! Let’s see some pictures of the 202!

As far as the towers Samson usually makes the towers for cobalt. I would check in with them. Or call cobalt customer service with the hull number of the boat and they can look it up for you.

Welcome to the site Bullitt! Where do you boat? You will find a lot of knowledge here and hopefully have your questions answered. Can't help with the tower but others will soon chime in.....

Hey bullitt731 , welcome to the Cobaltchat forum. So glad you found us!

You’re going to really enjoy that 20 footer. Great size boat

Samson makes a nice tower but others will chime in on that.

Welcome aboard mate!

Welcome! Unless you are set on the factory tower there are lots of aftermarket options out there. Check out Arial, or Big Air, you’ll get a lot more tower for the money in terms of extras. Sampson makes great towers, don’t get me wrong, there is a reason Cobalt contracted with them.

Thanks all ,
Doubtful I will find an OEM option at this late date based on my web searches.

On to the next project can anyone provide me with any information regarding Cobalt's vinyl resource for this model year? Want to submit some pics, but need a couple of seat cushions replaced which has some cracking.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome from Oklahoma!

So you will find ( if you haven't already) that Cobalt only stocks parts for boats 7 years old and newer. But one of the great things about this site are the resources.

Depending on what your vinyl patterns are, you may be able to source something pretty close at any upholstery shop. Just make sure its marine grade or you could be doing it again in a few years.

There may be some other options but I'd start there.
