Cobalt 30 feet cabin

Hello from Switzerland,

We have a Cobalt 242 since 2010 and we love our boat. The quality is outstanding and we would like to remain with the Cobalt brand. However, it is time to get a bigger boat (30 to 32 feet) and we would like to have a small cabin for an overnight stay. Do you know whether Cobalt has any plans to produce a 30 to 32 feet cabin boat, something similar to the 303 or 323 boats? The A36 is too large and beyond our budget.

Looking forward to your beautiful homeland pics with a Cobalt at the center.

The A29 just debuted but it is an open bow model. Not sure if there are plans to clone a cuddy of that model.

Curious if you looked at Formula?

I know about the A29 but I don‘t think our next boat will be a bowrider. Otherwise we would have gone with an R30, a wonderful boat in my view.

I looked at Formula but don‘t like the firm seats or the lying surfaces/sun lounges, which are just too small or too short for my taste.

We may go with a Windy 29 Coho or 31 Zonda but would really like a Cobalt to be our next boat.

Welcome aboard. Unfortunately Cobalt didn’t sell to well in the sport cuddy cruiser line so they have gotten out of it for the most part. Besides the A36 and A40. If you want to stay with cobalt I’d look for a used 303 or 323.

Indeed sad to say that Cobalt is doing very well in open bow series but not nearly as good in the cuddy or sport cruiser series.
A used boat is a not an option for me. A mid sized or large bowrider such as the R7, A28, R30 or the new A29 are great boats, however, our next one should have an opportunity to stay overnight but still be fun and sporty to drive.

Cobalt is well represented in Switzerland but other US brands that compare with them in terms of quality are not seen very often. Also Formula‘s are rarely seen.
