Yes, first generation...which I like better because of the standing headroom and actual head.AsLan7 wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2019 4:37 pm.TechieTechie wrote: Sat Apr 13, 2019 10:51 am If so, would you PM me? I don't see a PM on here - did you send it using the private message function on the board?

Send me any questions you have on 293's. Owned one for eight years. Good luck on the search! It's some of the most fun.... and the most nerve-racking!TechieTechie wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2019 7:36 am Thanks, a Chatter has been kind enough to check it out for me.
I am also looking at a 293. I may very well be passing thru MSP and the Neosho River area next weekend. If anyone is willing is docked in either location and has their 293 in the water (and willing to give a gal a test ride, preferably Saturday) I would be grateful. Please PM me.
Thanks

Fuel consumption was never really a detail I worried about. Twin Volvo 5.7GSi's and duo-prop drives were the perfect setup (IMHO) considering power and efficiency. The big block singles will suffer on power and dock-ability. These hulls act like a sail in a crosswind and you'd want the leverage of twins for maneuvering around the docks.TechieTechie wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2019 4:37 pm Thanks Holy! I would love to understand your power setup/fuel burn and handling characteristics, particularly fully loaded or in rough conditions. I don't actually NEED a 29, but I think either a first gen 263 or 293 are the 2 boats in Cobalt lineup that will work for me (I plan to do overnights on the East Coast).
