I had a 1978 CJ5 in 1978 with "Levi" interior red exterior and Levi blue soft top, 304 V* manual 3 speed, manual hubs. It was a blast! Back to boats ... :)

Nice! The first pic - I see a different trailer, is that one yours? I just ordered my trailer through Haul Rite for our 262 we bought this winter. Same wheels as well...

Thank you! The two options it is missing that I would have ordered is the underwater lighting & the swim platform lights. Our weekend days usually end up turning into late evenings so the lighting would be cool to look at on the slow cruises back to the dock.

Beautiful R5 and great options! I have the same motor in my r7 and I love it.

We are having a meet up in early June on Table Tock. You should pull it on up for the meet up!
Thank you! I saw your posts about your new R7. That is a gorgeous boat. I've spent many weekends on Table Rock when I lived in Springfield. I grew up in a small town outside Jefferson City, MO so LOTO was the lake I grew up going to. That lake was fun through high school and college.

I'd love to make it for the meet up but I'm in Costa Rica that weekend. I still need to order a trailer as well. I hope to make it for the meet up next year if you guys still have it. It sounds like a blast.

Welcome from Wisconsin.
Ha! If I were to order, I would not have so much color. I planned to get a red boot stripe and the rest all white.

That's a pretty minor option deficit. I'm betting your dealer could add those options at a reasonable cost. It's a beautiful boat. I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it. :)

Boat trailers are the dealers. They agreed to let me borrow a trailer to keep it in my storage unit until the weather warmed up. The first pic is the original trailer they put it on when I picked it up a few months ago but it wasn't set up for a windlass. I had to bring the boat back to the dealer to get a few things done & they swapped out trailers while it was there so that I had one with a v block to make it easier to launch with the windlass.

I still need to order a trailer. I leave the boat on a lift all summer so I don't need one until this fall which means I've been dragging my feet on placing an order. I have it narrowed down to Heritage & EZ Loader mainly due to the dealers in the area. Do you like your Haul Rite?

Thank you. The Gladiator needs to grow on me some more. I'm probably in the minority but it really doesn't do anything for me. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see it in person and/or drive one.

That was my thought as well. There are some good options for under water lighting. It may be a winter project next year.

It's been fine, when I bought the boat from the marine dealership at the LOTO, they had a relationship with Haul Rite and I was able to order it at cost. I had to go with their more beefed up version due to the boat weight and not wanting to go to a tri-axle. I've pulled it back and forth from my lake to the house 3 times now (about and hour and a half each way) and it's been good. As far as I am concerned, if it stays connected to the truck, brakes and keeps the boat on it, it's done its job. The boat came on and off into the water easily, and cradles in well to where it has not budged or shifted at all. I'll keep it on a lift like you, so this trailer will spend most all of its life housed in a storage unit. If there was one thing to complain about, the wheels that I have and are on the one you have in your picture were the only aluminum option they had in stock. They would not have been my first choice, but have grown on me a bit. They were very easy to work with though. For example, I forgot to order the diamond plate step pads on the trailer, and realized it the day before delivery. I called, and for $60 they were on there when I picked the boat up the next day.
