WTB/Find 2003 262 Hatch Ram

Post by jsdittmer »

Looks like my hydraulic hatch ram leak is a split ram. Apparently they don't make those anymore, and the guy that used to custom make them for the shop near me retired. Anyone have a used one for sale or know a place to get one that will work? Thanks!

Did you forget to winterize it.
I think the same company made the power stern light. 😂💡
Sorry I'm no help today. With all of the boats out there with that option they have to be avail. You will just have to make one work. I have a hammer you can use though.

Man, Jrcramer1 had a 263 parts boat in Rochester with those rams. I’m not sure if he still has it though. I’ll PM you with his contact info.

Pull that bad boy and take it to a heavy equipment repair shop. They can probably either fix it or find one that will work. Thise shops deal with rams of all sizes and shapes all the time.

I’m afraid my time is coming for this too, my ram sounds bad going up, and worse going down. Chatters like a mofo...

Mine SUper slow going up. Coming down it's no worries. But at halfway up I have to step in, pop the prop bar down and push it into position with my right foot. Then I run the rams all the way up.

May want to clean that switch behind the dash YT. Mine was pretty messy but once I opened the switch up , cleaned it out, and reinstalled, the hatch went up with no delay. Takes quite a bit of current draw for that motor to push 1,000 pounds upward. Coming down is easy. :geek:

I documented it here.
