2005 343 F/S in OH

Anyone come across this boat before?

I just talked to the owner and he gave me the lowdown. It's had both engines replaced and both stern drives replaced as they were stolen last season.

Seems like a reasonable enough guy but wondered if anyone here has looked at it.

How on earth do two engines get stolen? Outdrives I can see, but engines? Limited and poor quality pics for an $85k boat. No cabin pics, no decent bilge pics, no helm pics...something seems off on this one. If you’re serious I’d have a full survey and sea trail done, and check the hull ID for any fishy history.

Sorry, i wasn't clear. The engines were replaced separately, unrelated to the outdrives being stolen. The engines were replaced in years past for different reasons, etc.

I'm more curious if anyone knows anything about this boat before i go look at it.

I have not seen this one before but it actually seems in pretty decent shape. Of course I’m a sucker for any center walk-through transom with a big block (or two).

Get the hin number and get the build sheet from Cobalt. My spidey sence tells me engine swap from blues to 496ho ( hopefully Ho as crafty pics can block the covers.)

Got you, thanks. Also, with that hull id, i can call up Cobalt and get the build sheet for it? (I've not done this before). What makes you think it had the Blu merc's? I'm told it's got 496 HO's from him but i'd verify that by serial number for sure in any case.

Blues are a turn off to many buyers because they require more maintenance and generally cost more to own, if neglected repairs can cost more than simply dropping black mercs in their place and selling the blues.

BTW - this boat doesn't have a generator or AC, etc. Anyone here have experience with adding those?
