Took. It out for the maiden voyage and not good!engine ran rough an had a warning beep. Oil pressure and temp fine. I idled for ten minutes and it ran fine. Still beeped every 60 sec or so. Maybe water in the gas? Boat sat for 18 months

Sorry to hear. Water in gas could cause it to run rough. 18 months is a long time. How much gas is in it. Might want to suck it out. Did you add any fresh gas? I add bg 44k to mine every start of the season. Seafoam is good too. Did you change the water separator?
But anyways that's not why it's beeping at you. See if you can get the code read to find the beast. Did you change the impeller? Could be low water pressure. Or a water sensor or any other senor for that matter. It's not a merc so it's not Matt's drive lube warning.

Thanks for the reply and advice! It had around 25 gal and I filled it before launch. Changed the separator. Haven’t changed the impeller yet though. 200 hrs fresh water use.

Yep change it every 2 years. And it's been sitting for almost that long I would do it no matter what. It's easy to do on your engine. 6 bolts. 2 big ones and 4 tiny ones and 2 hoses. Just don't mix them up. Lol

Some folks mistakenly think the depth sounder beeping is an engine alarm. Coincidence?

Bad gas could certainly cause the engine to run rough.
Put STABIL in or Sea Foam PRIOR to storage. Once gas goes bad ( particularly phase separation) there is no bringing it back.

Change that water separating fuel filter.

Great advice! Never thought of the depthsounder? Would that go off at 10mph in very deep water?

Yep funny thing is mine was beeping today when I was running on the trailer warming her up. I set it at 0 all the time and it was at like 1 or 2 and was going off. Yes I boat in shallow water. The dock today was at a high due to all of the rain. It normally never reads at the dock today I saw 2 feet.

Put some sea foam in the gas and ran her for an hour. Ran like a boss! I think I found my problem. Also the alarm was from the depth sounder , who knew? Appreciate the help from all!
