Looks like a great find, and some great pictures. Congrats! Maybe we’ll finally get a NE posse of Cobalts running around to rival all the Table Top Lake folks. Maybe.

Thanks @Aslan for swapping the pics and for the well wishes.

@BBP, thank you, it took me almost 3 years to find this boat, with many frogs kissed. But she's a keeper. I'll have to keep an eye on the engine (2k) hours, but at the condition and price point, I will gladly pay for an engine rebuild down the line.

@Cmattj, thank you. I have a shore power cord, but I only purchased a 25 foot cord (thinking I would back into my slip). I need to return and replace with a 50 footer...so I can dock nose in if I want.

@Bfun220...thank you. Had hoped to take her out longer, but the fog rolled in for the 2nd day. I need to figure out what lighting to use in fog situations.

@ryandmartin. I know there are a few Cobalts in Lake George, Maine and Winnepesaukee. But that's one of the reasons I liked the boat, it's pretty rare out here (plus its fuel consumption is good for a 7k lb boat). I'd be up for an event!

@YT, thank you. She is pretty darn clean. A few spider cracks here and there, and a few niggles to fix, but I'll take it for a close to 30 year old boat!

Now I just need to buy lettering and get her registered with the state of MA(so I can get my EPRIB, handheld GPS and PIB registered with the Coast Guard). I'm leaning towards 2nd Chance, as it's my 2nd Chance (at midlife) for fun!

Anyone know the Truetype fonts Cobalt uses on their boats?

Great tutorial ! Many adventures await you!

The Font is “Century Schoolbook “ I found that out years ago when I was going to name her.

Here is the site.. as they do Domed lettering as well.

Thanks CMJ...Cobalt actually uses 2 fonts/designs...the "C" script logo font and then the "Cobalt" word font. Am I correct in assuming Century Schoolbook for the 'Cobalt' word font? I'd be interested to know the closest font is to the "C" because I was thinking of my design as being:

"S" = same font as "C" logo
"econd" = Cobalt font

"C" = same font as "C" log0
"hance" = Cobalt

Anyone ever ask Cobalt what the closest TrueType Font is to their "C" logo?

Check out https://www.dafont.com/, that’s your best bet on finding something close to what you want.

Thanks all for the font information. Whaddya think?

Stay tuned. Going to get 2 more mockups

1. one with a wider white background
2. one eliminating the grey shadow stripe. It may take away from the gorgeous S and C

Have to make a decision TONIGHT. Ack.

I think I like it more without the gray shadow. I dont know, it just seems cleaner to me.
I still haven't named my boat, so I might not be the best person to listen to. :D
