And thanks for pulling that monster log out. No limbs or stump? I wonder what the back story is....

Nice work! I’m going to cross the 200mile Mark today. But unfortunately heading home this afternoon. Been a great 10 days at the lake but all good things come to an end. Well until next weekend 😜

After a rough and tumble winter where the lake resembles the Bering Sea, There can be a lot of logs and heavy branches still floating. Everything flows east, including the junk.
Clear water? We were in Buffalo yesterday driving up to Grand Island, and the water in the Lake and into the Niagara river is just an unimaginable blue and clear for fresh water.
Back in the late 60's, Lake Erie was the great dead lake. Today, it's almost like it was touched by God.

I remember as a kid everyone saying Lake Erie was dead. It was hard to imagine a body of water that big being so polluted... And now all of the Lakes are so freakin clear and pretty!

But cold.

Several of us from out little lake community got together yesterday for the first time this season and tied up in the cove. We floated behind the boats talking and laughing and telling stories as we hadn't seen each other since last summer. And the practice of northern cold water and no bimini deployed came up, as we floated up to our ears in perfect temp water.

I talk about you guys all the time! It usually goes "I have a buddy in Erie... or California... or Wisconsin.... or Kentucky..or New York... and they do this or did that, or they boat at blablabla lake under blablabla conditions, and blablaBLAblabla.

I'm sure they get tired of hearing my stories, but I'm getting to the age where a story sounds better and better each time I tell it! And naturally I think it's the first time they've ever heard it....

A7, your family seems to have a ton of fun, like every trip is the first time!

YT, I haven’t been in the water yet, but one positive about Lake Erie being a shallow lake is that it warms fast.
Fun, and maybe boring fact.. There is three times the mount of water in Lake Ontario than in Lake Erie. Probably the main why Lake Erie is so clean is that the water only takes three years to get from Detroit to Niagara Falls, where other lakes take more than twice that time.

That’s cool how there are so many boating destination options there for ya’ Matt. Your model is great for that too. Love the smiles!

We sure do enjoy it T.
The water sports start to slow down in late August as kids go back to school or preseason football starts.

That’s when I’d like to visit and maybe do a Niagara river tour with ya.

How’s your August?. :?:

Maybe Samurai33 and AJC could make it too. 🤔

Great shot tg98. I’m jealous. Haven’t got our stack mats out yet. It’s on the list to do soon though.
